Central Station

ComCap, in partnership with the Henry Turley Company and Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA), redeveloped Central Station, an underutilized transportation station anchoring the South Main District of Downtown Memphis. The focus of this redevelopment effort was to create a multi-use complex that meets the needs of the vibrant and active community that surrounded it. In redeveloping Central Station, it was important to maintain its historic façade while creating space for a transportation hub, rental housing units, and commercial tenants.

Tenants of Central Station include South Line Apartments and Powerhouse Cinema and Grille, a seven-screen Malco movie theatre. The development also includes a new passenger terminal for Amtrak and an enhanced Memphis Farmers Market. In the fall of 2019, the final phase of the project, a boutique hotel, Central Station Memphis, Curio Collection by Hilton, was completed.
